House of Fun is a 3D video slots game developed by Betsoft that features five spinning reels, 30 bet lines and a non-progressive line jackpot worth as much as 750 coins. House of Fun does an excellent job of creating atmosphere and living up to its horror clichéd premise. Perhaps its best feature is a marvelously diverse sound track that includes creepy music and authentic sound effects. The game delivers a fun slots experience that is reminiscent of the horror movie genre without all the blood and gore.
It reminded me a little of the movie Cabin in the Woods and the Shining – especially the intro movie where they are driving along a deserted mountain road. The game offers a weird and spooky cast of characters and every time you win, the abrupt sound effects and animations frightens Paul, Jane, and Chip, and you can see them jump into each others’ arms in the bottom corner of the screen!
How to Play House of Fun Slots
House of Fun’s main menu is at the bottom of the screen. The Choose Coin button lets you cycle through .02, .05, .10, .25, .50 and 1.00 coin sizes. The Select Lines buttons allows you to set how many bet lines are active, and you can have as few as one and as many as 30 toggled on. The Bet Per Line button lets you set the number of coins per line, ranging from one to five. The minimum bet is .02, the minimum bet to have all lines active is .60 and the maximum bet is 150.
Once the stake is set, the Spin button begins the round. The Max Bet Spin button sets the stake at the maximum allowed and then spins. At the top of the screen, you’ll find an Autoplay button that lets you automate five to 100 spins at the current stake.
House of Fun has two symbols are worth as much as 750 coins in a five-symbol combination. Not that combo values are based on the stake, and the pay table does not scale evenly. Therefore, unless playing purely for fun, players will want to place the largest bet possible. The largest possible jackpot is 30 lines at 750 coins each, which is worth 22,500 at the max coin size.
